Software | BitScope DSO | Online Demo |
The above animated display export was made with the Online Sydney BitScope. The file that was recorded to make this example is sydney.csv in the Offline Examples. It's easy to try this on your own PC:
What happens next depends on whether your PC is currently connected to the Internet. If it is, the DSO will attempt connect to the Sydney BitScope "live", as explained here. If not, a file dialog will open asking for a file to replay: Browse to where you unzipped the archive (DataFiles) and select the sydney.csv DDR file. Click Open and DDR replays sydney.csv immediately (if REPEAT is selected). NOTE: if BitScope DSO connects with the Online BitScope but you don't want it to (ie, you want to try this offline replay tutorial while connected to the Internet) remove SYDNEY from the DSO SETUP. Alternatively you can replay these files anyway by opening them with DDR even when DSO is connected to the online BitScope. If you started BitScope DSO immediately before doing this, the timebase and channel controls will already be selected to display Channel A at 50uS/Div which is a good place to start. While the file plays you may then adjust virtually any DSO parameter and see its effect, just as if you had a BitScope directly connected to your PC. To understand how this all works and the subtle differences between live data capture and file replay read about the Waveform Intuitive Display Engine used by the data recorder. Check out the DSO Online Guide for the complete guide about how to use BitScope DSO or read on through the following pages to continue the tutorial (the next page is Triangle Sweep). |
