Operation is fast and intuitive and its unique act on touch user interface means it can be used on a tablet as easily as on a notebook or desktop PC with mouse or trackpad. It is available for Windows, Mac OS X and most Linux distributions including embedded ARM based systems. DSO is a included as standard with all current model BitScopes and upgrades are free of charge.

BitScope Logic

Logic, Timing & Protocol Analysis

BitScope Logic | Mixed Signal Logic Analyzer

Logic is powerful mixed signal logic timing and serial protocol analysis software for BitScope:

  • SPI, I2C, CAN, UART and logic
  • 12 channels (4 + 8 logic)
  • Deep Packet Inspection
  • Auto-ranging Oscilloscope
  • Concurrent Protocol Decoders
  • Colour coded user labels
  • Easy, Fast and Intuitive

Logic is designed for serial protocol and logic signal timing analysis and uses BitScope's built-in logic analyzer. Capture, decode and analyze common serial protocols including UART, CAN, I2C and SPI. View high speed timing, serial protocol packets and analog signals simultaneously. Operation is fast & intuitive, simply point, click, zoom and drag. It is available for Windows, Mac OS X and most Linux distributions including embedded ARM based systems.

BitScope Chart

Signal Statistics Data Recorder

BitScope WaveMeter | Signal Analysis Software

Chart is a waveform data recorder for BitScope with a twist, it evaluates a range signal statistics on multiple channels in real-time and plots them on a timeline:

  • Unlimited data logging
  • Wide bandwidth, DC to RF
  • AC, DC, RMS & Min/Max
  • Auto-lock frequency
  • Duty cycle, sample rate
  • Sampled data recording

Chart leverages BitScope Meter to monitor, record and plot arbitrary signal voltages, frequencies and time periods. Any combination of BitScope channels may be used and sampled waveforms may be recorded to disk along with the signal statistics. Can can record and plot for arbitrary periods of time making it ideal for data logging and monitoring. It is available for Windows, Mac OS X and most Linux distributions including embedded ARM based systems.

BitScope Meter

Real-time Waveform Analyzer

BitScope Meter | Signal Analysis Software

Meter is an automated oscilloscope, voltmeter and frequency meter in one easy to use instrument:

  • Real-time waveform display
  • Autolocking frequency meter
  • AC Peak, RMS & Min/Max
  • DC mean and offset volts
  • Simple automated operation

Meter is designed to quickly view, measure and monitor arbitrary AC and DC signals. Operation is real-time, automatic, quick and convenient. No setup is required. Simply connect the signals and view the results.

Meter is ideal for student labs and in situations where quick measurements using a multi-meter might otherwise be used. It is available for Windows, Mac OS X and most Linux distributions including embedded ARM based systems.

BitScope Generator

Arbitrary Waveform Generator

BitScope Waveform Generator Control Panel

The BitGen Control Panel is a DSP Waveform and Timing Generator application for some BitScopes.

It makes available the Waveform Generator Library in an easy to use software application and includes an integrated oscilloscope.

It supports all seven operating modes of the BitGen module in BS120 via a comprehensive parameter setup page.

No programming is required to make full use of BitGen and view its output using the integrated and synchronised oscilloscope.

Also included is a full diagnostics page so you can see how it works; ideal if you want to learn how to integrate BitGen into your own software.

It is available for Windows, Mac OS X and most Linux distributions including embedded ARM based systems.

BitScope Display

Display Diagnostic Tool

BitScope Display | Waveform Display Diagnostic Tool

Display is a cross-platform display diagnostic application that allow you to evaluate a host PC performance for use with BitScope.

There are many benchmarking programs available to measure and report on the characteristics of a PC but the purpose of this application is a little different; it is to enable you to see how well your PC performs for live waveform display in the context of our cross-platform software.

It does this without the need for a BitScope and without being complicated by other issues such as USB or network latency or BitScope device settings.

BitScope Display is a stand-alone application that does not talk to BitScope. Its purpose is to provide a practical example of waveform display operation on the platforms we support, especially low power ones like Raspberry Pi or that old ASUS netbook otherwise languishing in the bottom drawer.

You may be surprised to learn just how "powerful" an old system can be when used with efficient software.

BitScope Library

Programming Library for BitScope

BitScope Application Programming Library

BitLib is a cross-platform library for BitScope. It makes programming BitScope easy.

The library API is fully documented and comes with several examples including:

All these software applications include source so you can see how they work.

Modify them to suit specialized needs or use them as a starting point for custom software development.

The library supports Windows 8, 7 and XP, Mac OS X and as most Linux distributions.

Generator Library

Generator Library for BitScope

BitScope Waveform Generator Programming Library

BitGenLib is a cross-platform library for the BitGen DSP Waveform Generator.

It extends BitLib to for full access to the waveform generator in BitGen enabled BitScopes. The API is fully documented and includes an easy to use control panel.

With the control panel you can start using BitGen out of the box to generate arbitrary analog or digital waveforms, clocks, noise, triggers and more and see the results using the built-in digital oscilloscope.

The control panel also provides a diagnostic view so you can see how it interracts with and controls BitGen. Source is included so you can see how it works or use the panel as a starting point for your own software.

The library supports Windows 8, 7 and XP, Mac OS X and as most Linux distributions.
